Errol Jay Y. Balagan, who earned a grade point average (GPA) of 1.45, is the third magna cum laude produced by the College of Veterinary Science and Medicine. The first is Alona Torres-Badua in 1993 and the second is Michael Hernandez in 1996.

This is the first time in the history of the College of Veterinary Science and Medicine that a magna cum laude and four cum laude’s with DVM degree and 1 cum laude with a BSAH degree all graduated in the same commencement exercises.
