CONRADO G. BARES, BS Ag Eng'82- DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT

for meritorious services and exemplary performance in the field of Development Management which catapulted him to his past and present positions as Provincial Director of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in Ilocos Sur and Pangasinan, respectively; he is also a senior lecturer in public administration and business administration at Saint Louis Graduate School-La Union and UP-Baguio and in various institutions as trainor and resource person in the areas of strategic planning, project appraisal, monitoring and evaluation, development economics, human resource and financial management.



ZENAIDA ESGUERRA-ROSETE, BSHE '62-ENTREPRENEURSHIP

in recognition of her entrepreneurial acumen by venturing in a food business popularly known as LA ECIJANA FOOD PRODUCTS, which is engaged in the manufacturing of quality processed foods such as fruit preserves, sweets and delicacies indicating the consistent landmark of a CLSU graduate's propensity for skills utilization and self-employment.


IRENEO M. ORTEGA, HS '56 -AGRO-FORESTRY FARMING

for his pioneering work as Agro-Forestry farmer and exemplary performance as farmer-scientist in the province of Apayao by utilizing Sustainable Agro-Forestry Land Technology through organized production and management system and establishing Techno Demo Farms on Sloping Agricultural Land Technology (SALT) and other experimental areas for technology and experience-sharing in integrated social forestry, contour farming and relevant practices on indigenous forest conservation and highland agriculture resource management and forest-livestock integration.


TOM D. RODRIGUEZ, HS '57- COMMUNITY/PUBLIC SERVICE

for his exceptional achievement and contributions in community and civic affairs by having dedicated his efforts as a lawyer and a pioneering Filipino administrative law judge (in the US eastern seaboard) by profession in helping his community under the umbrella of professional and civic organizations wherein as a nationalist and an ardent Rizalist, he served as active chairman of various committees like fund raising, publications and cultural activities; he is also active in church activities especially in the field of music ministry; as an author, he has written a book to help Filipino immigrants and other ethnic groups as well as American born citizens to enter into business in New York, USA.


ERNESTO P. GARILLO, BSA 77, MS '86- ANIMAL SCIENCE TECHNO DEVELOPMENT AND UTILIZATION

for his being an ardent practitioner and researcher in animal science (both national and international levels) and in the utilization of technology in poultry and livestock care and management, field lot fattening of cattle, artificial insemination, animal nutrition, breed improvement and reproduction through involvement in graduate and undergraduate education including excellent coaching as a Team Manager in Rodeo which has exhibited magnificent performance nationwide.


MARILYN B. SILVA, BSA '81 - AGRI -RESEARCH MANAGEMENT

for her important and key roles in the area of Agriculture Research Management having dedicated her efforts to the planning, conduct and monitoring and evaluation of farming systems research and rural enterprise development including interface of research, development and extension, and encompassing gender and ecological sensitivity and Community-Based Participatory Action Researches on Integrated Crops and Livestock Farming.


PEREGRINO G. DURAN, BSA'81- LIVESTOCK BREED IMPROVEMENT EXTENSION AND TRAINING

for all his innovative and technology development efforts in the field of Animal Genetic Improvement and Reproduction conducted as Supervising Science Research Specialist of the Philippine Carabao Center and National Program Coordinator of various breed improvement projects of water buffalo and beef cattle including artificial insemination, animal nutrition, intensive beef and carabeef production, dairy or milk production, and especially the implementation of an integrated extension and training components of these research programs.


PEDRITO S. NITURAL, PhD '99, MS '92, BSA '82- URBAN AGRI TECHNO PROMOTION

for his significant and influential role in the promotion of urban farming technology model of CLSU via the conduct of hands-on training, lecture-seminar-demonstration series, and video presentations on container/receptacle gardening and urban waste management; and the dissemination of technology through national and local magazines and newspapers, "lakbay aral" and television programs; and his publication as co-author of URBAN AGRICULTURE: Guide to Successful Container Farming in the City.


ROLANDO L. ENCARNACION, PhD '95, MS '85, BSA '64- SEED TECHNOLOGY FOR VEGETABLES

for his contributions in the field of seed technology development for vegetable crops in various farming systems including seed production and management strategies and efficient distribution for the advancement of vegetable industry in the Philippines done as member of the Board of Management of the CLSU University Agribusiness Program (UBAP) and as Director of its Recreational and Allied Support Services Office (RASSO).
