USHS: 25 years and still counting. . .

The CLSU University Science High School's (USHS) silver anniversary is the epitome of the institution's academic professionalism. The USHS celebrated 25 years of glorious and fulfilling existence last Dec. 27, 2004 with hundreds of alumni attending the festive event. For the past two and a half decades, USHS has fulfilled its vision to be at par with other secondary science institutions in the Asia Pacific Region. It has been Instrumental in producing academically competitive and morally refined students. With its well-structured curriculum, it has been noteworthy in developing the students' scientific attitude, analytical and critical thinking, creativity and innovative abilities, as well as mathematical and communication skills. Moreover, it has improved the students' well-rounded personality - physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually and culturally prepared to live independently in this highly challenging world. Furthermore, the training done here is especially crafted to prepare the students for college work, the setting grounds for their professions. We also take pride of our alumni who graduated with the highest honors from different prestigious universities in the country and in other countries. USHS has generated and is still generating exceptional educators who carry out the mission of honing students excelling in Math, Science and Technology and Communications. The mentors, equipped with outstanding proficiencies in their respective fields, have been the key movers in sculpturing the minds of the students. And with this, we salute their unwavering passion and dedication to perk up in their vocation

With the prestige it conceived from the victories in local, regional, national and even international competitions plus the quality education it has been offering through the years, this institution has already created its name as the best in the region and one of the best schools in the country.

Indeed, USHS' legacy of bringing educational expertise to the students is a proof of its never-ending pursuit of being a laboratory for pedagogic professionalism. (Editorial, the Researcher, November 2003).
