Dr. Fortunato A. Battad, fl anked here by (L-R) President Sevilleja, Dr. Teodora Battad, and PhilRice Executive Director Ronilo Beronio, presented his second book entitled “My Passion for Tennis” on the occasion of his 77th birthday last June 11. The book is not only a story of Dr. Battad’s love and passion for tennis but also the story of how tennis became a bond that kept the Battad clan together.

The book launching was graced by CLSU offi cials/faculty members, guests from outside agencies, and Dr. Battad’s children and grandchildren most of whom are versatile and champion tennists. The fi rst book he wrote dwelling on his passion was “My Passion for Trees” which was launched on his 75th birthday. -M.Mangalindan
