Governor Umali is keynote speaker

Hon. Aurelio M. Umali, governor of Nueva Ecija, is the guest of honor and speaker during the Recognition Program for Alumni awardees on April 16, 2011 at 7:00 o'clock in the evening at the Multi-purpose Gymnasium.

The governor's message will center on the homecoming's theme "Our Commitment: Making a Difference Through Pro-Active Engagement" CLSUAAI president, Dr. Romeo S. Cabanilla will introduce him.

He finished his Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science at the University of Sto. Tomas, Master in Business Administration at De La Salle University and Bachelor of Law at San Beda College.

He started his political career as representative of the 3rd district of Nueva Ecija to the 12th Congress in 2001-2004. He was re-elected in 2004.

He has shown outstanding performance as a legislator which earned him various awards and recognition. He was named one of the Outstanding Congressional Representatives and awarded the Most Outstanding new Congressional Representative in the 1st and 2nd Regular Sessions.

Since he assumed the governor's post in 2007, he has touched the lives of the Novo Ecijanos by putting up various infrastructures in different municipalities.
The 42-year old governor is married to Czarina-Domingo Umali; the current representative of District III of Nueva Ecija.
