8 CBAA graduates hurdle CPA board examination

Eight Accountancy graduates of the CLSU College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) hurdled the Licensure Exam for Certified Public Accountants (CPA) administered last October by the Professional Regulation Commission.

The new accountants were: Laila J. Chua, Rolando del Rosario, Jr. , Ruel C. de Vera, Riza C. Madrid, Marjorie M. Maron, Angelito G. Paguio, Cheryl T. Sanchez and Joy V. Tolentino. They were among 40 examinees from the CBAA.

CLSU posted a passing rate of 20% while the national passing percentage is 20.87%. The new CPAs took their oath last November 22 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Manila.

Meanwhile, six out of 24 CBAA graduates passed the Licensure Exam for CPA administered last May namely: Grace C. Bumanlag, Analyn J. Castro, Maricel C. Enriquez, Joana C. Guevarra, Bessie Grace C. Manahan, and Ethaniel V. Valdez.

The group posted a passing rate of 25% while the national passing percentage was 19.6%. The passers took oath last June 22 also at the PICC.
