The Alumni Relations Office (ARO) was created by virtue of Board of Regents Resolution No. 51-90 dated January 18, 1990. Its goal/objective is to assist the university in its pursuit of academic excellence through the active participation of the alumni in the formulation and implementation of the school programs and activities.
The ARO which is directly under the Office of the President has the main function of establishing positive, cordial and fruitful working relationships with the alumni at-large and other friends of CLSU in support of the plans and programs of the university.
During the flag raising ceremonies held on June 29, July 6 and 13, 2009, the newly appointed Unit and College Alumni Relations Office (ARO) Coordinators with Dr. Zenaida M. Serna as the newly appointed Director of the Alumni Relations Office took their oath of office with the University President, Dr. Ruben C. Sevilleja as the Inducting Officer.

The function of the ARO Coordinators include the mobilization of the alumni during the Alumni Homecoming, project a positive image of their Alma Mater and support the university in its pursuit to establish institutional loyalty specifically among the alumni in their respective college/unit.
A meeting was held immediately after the oath taking program with the Alumni President, Dr. Romeo S. Cabanilla and the University President, Dr. Ruben C. Sevilleja. Both Dr. Cabanilla and Dr. Sevilleja fully support all the activities of the ARO especially the fund raising being done for the construction f the Alumni Guestel and the forthcoming Grand Alumni Homecoming tentatively set on April 12, 2010.
