College of Fisheries produces 17 board passers; 4 in Top 10

Four CLSU fisheries graduates were among the Top 10 examinees in the Fisheries Technologists Licensure Examination given by the Board of Fisheries under the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in Manila last October 5 and 6. They are: Grace M. Abdala (3rd), Mark Joseph R. Rafael (4th), Dennis A. Mateo (6th) and Laarni L. Santos (10th).

In addition, 17 out of the 36 passers nationwide were graduates of the CLSU College of Fisheries said Dean Arsenia Cagauan.

The other successful examinees were: Isagani P. Angeles, Francis N. Baleta, Ronaldo P. Bernandino, Michael V. De Guzman, Charlie G. Gamatan, Michelle N. Julaton, Marcon Aurelio P. Lagasca, Jonathan DC. Maniquiz, Juna Mae C. Mauricio, Esmeralda M. Mendoza, Nova Marie O. Pesebre, Ulysses R. Saliganan and Jun Rey A. Sugue. CLSU examinees posted a passing percentage of 45. 95% (17 out of 37) which is way above the national passing percentage of 30.51% (36 out of 118).

This year's passers and approved applicants for registration without examination as Fisheries Technologies took their oath before the Board of Fisheries last November 6 at the Manila Hotel.

The Board was composed of Dr. Rogelio O. Juliano, chairman; Dr. Cesario R. Pagdilao, and Dr. Catalino R. Dela Cruz, members.
