CLSU ranks 4th nationwide; 1st in Reg. III in passing percentage in teachers

The education graduates of the University posted a high percentage of passing in the 2004 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.

In fact, four of them were among the Top 20 BEEd LET passers namely: Jaypee S. de Guzman, 9th place - 88%; Regina Esther E. Ascaņo and Cherry Grace L. Balaba, 14th place - 87; and Conrado A. Fermin, 16th place 86.67%. They were among the 16,297 BEEd LET passers. Also, a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd), Patrick Harold B. Tadatada, landed 20th place among all BSEd takers.

Out of the 86 CLSU graduates with elementary education degree who took the exam, 79 passed registering a passing percentage of 94.05%. Meanwhile, of the 84 Bachelor of Secondary Education graduates who took the exam, 63 passed giving a passing percentage of 75%.

According to Dr. Danilo G. Tan, dean, College of Education, CLSU ranked 4th nationwide with a passing percentage of 74.29% and 1st region-wide among the 110 Teacher Education institutions.
