CLSU produces 12 new CPAs

Twelve Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSAc) students of the College of Business Administration and Accountancy (CBAA) hurdled the Certified Public Accountants Licensure Examinations administered last October 14, 15, 21 and 22 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legaspi. The new accountants are: James B. Calderon, Christine Hazel R. Cruz, Eichelle R. Dalusong, Jemma Ruth P. De Guzman, Augusto N. Dela Cruz, Rosemarie E. Dela Rosa, Roberto E. Gatchula, Donna Krisel G. Millo, Aurelio M. Palarca, Ma. Buena Magdalena R. Ruiz, Sheryl Ann S. Salazar and Errol Fradie M. Salonga.
CLSU registered a passing rate of 41.38%, (12 of 29) which is 68% higher than the national passing rate of 24.57%; (1,597 of 6,499). The new CPA's took their oath last November 23 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Manila.
The CLSU-CBAA is a consistent top performing school in Region III and in the country for its very satisfactory performance in so far as passing rates of its graduates in the CPA Licensure Exam is concerned.
