CLSU-BEEd retains 3rd place standing in Licensure Examination for Teachers

The Central Luzon State University retained 3rd place among 237 Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) all over the country under category B (100 to 999 examinees) in terms of the passing percentage of Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) graduates in the 2006 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET).

According to Dr. Danilo G. Tan, dean of the College of Education, the BEEd (regular classes) who graduated this SY 2005-2006 registered 92.72% passing (86 out of 88) while the BEEd under the Nueva Ecija Provincial Government (NEPG) Scholarship Program scored 67.44% passing (29 out of 43). LET repeaters however registered only 11.76% (4 out of 34). University posted an over-all rating of 72.12% while the national passing percentage is 29.28%.

Dr. Tan added that the BSEd, SY 2005-2006 graduates (regular classes) posted a passing rate of 93.75%. Other courses under secondary level had a passing percentage of 59.35% while LET repeaters registered 33.03% (38 out of 112).
