CLSU ranks 2nd 2007 Fisheries tech licensure exams;

The CLSU College of Fisheries ranked second (national level) in the Fisheries Technologist Licensure Examination given by the Board of Fisheries in Manila, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi last October 1-2.
CLSU-CF posted 62% passing as compared to 30.38% national passing. More over, five examinees from CLSU landed in the Top 10. They are Mark Nell C. Corpuz (2nd), Imee E. Ungos (6yh), Marvin L. Tobias (8th), Jayson P. Angeles (9th) and Desiderio A. Ayanan, Jr. (10th). Other passers were Diane H. Brillantes, Emiliano M. Buan, Jennie B. Fernandez, Marco P. Meneses, Rea Joy B. Padilla, Rosie B. Reyes, Neil Andrew P. Sagum and Judyline C. Toyoken.
The oath taking ceremony of the successful examinees was held last October 30 at 8:30 in the morning at the Sampaguita Hall, Manila Hotel One, Rizal Park, Manila. Dr. Ruben C. Sevilleja, president of CLSU, served as the guest speaker. The oath of professionals was led by Hon. Rogelio O. Juliano, chairman of Board of Fisheries. According to Dr. Juliano, being licensed Fisheries Technologist means that the PRC has certified the passers as qualified fisheries professionals who can go into teaching, research, fisheries industry, consultancy and other activities in fisheries.
The top performing schools and top ten examinees were also recognized in the said program.
