Hon. Joseph Gilbert F. Violago, Congressman of the second District of Nueva Ecija, was the guest of honor and speaker during the 56th Annual Commencement exercises of the University on April 11, 2008.
Congressman Violago shared his insights to the 689 graduating students from the graduate and undergraduate levels which included 14 honor students (cum laude).
He was introduced by Dr. Ruben C. Sevilleja, CLSU president.
Guests include members of the CLSU Board of Regents, heads of agencies in the Science City of Muņoz, and thousand of parents and relatives of graduates from various towns of Nueva Ecija and other provinces.
Congressman Violago inspired the graduates by sharing his wealth of experiences as a public servant and civic leader and as a successful businessman.
After addressing the graduates, President Sevilleja awarded the guest speaker a plaque of recognition on behalf of the university and the graduating classes.
