RM-CARES Director Clarita Pagaduan-Aganon (BSA '76) once more hogged the limelight as recipient of the 2004 William D. Dar R and D Award. Dr. Aganon was recognized for her significant achievements in R and D specifically in the field of soil fertility management and rejuvenation, crop production, waste management and environmental protection.

She was likewise cited for her pioneering work in productivity improvement for lahar, acidic and degraded soils.

The award was given by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCARRD) Scholars Association, Inc. (PSAI) during its annual meeting held last November 9 at the Bureau of Soils and Water Management, Quezon City.

Dr. Aganon received P 10,000 plus trophy.
