CLSUAAI meeting held in Baguio

The Board of Directors, officials and staff of the Central Luzon State University Alumni Association Inc. (CLSUAAI) met at the Mountainside Inn, Baguio City last June 23-24, 2007 to discuss various projects and activities of the association. The group was led by the CLSUAAI President, Genaro M. Tolentino.

Among the matters discussed during the meeting were the approval of the Globe Auto Loan and Smart E-Load project; purchases of 1 motorcycle, 1 desk top computer with LCD monitor, 7 bed mattresses for the University Security Force; and donation of slightly used resources such as desk top personal computer to ROTC office, 3 computer tables and 1 office table to the CLSU College of Arts and Sciences.

Prior to the meeting, the group made a courtesy call to Dr. Rogelio D. Colting, President of the Benguet State University at La Trinidad, Benguet. The next day, the group proceeded to San Fabian Beach Resort for a few hours of rest and recreation.

CLSU Alumni Center undergoes renovation

The CLSU alumni center underwent renovation with its new and bigger conference room. The conference room can now accommodate more participants during the regular and special meetings of the Board of Directors.

The 9m2 X 6.25 m2 conference room was renovated at a cost of P25,560 under the CLSUAAI General Fund. Plans are also underway to provide the conference room with furnitures, curtains and communication facilities.

CLSUAAI ventures into Globe Auto Loan and Smart E-Load

Another project which the CLSUAAI is undertaking is the Globe Auto Load and Smart E-Load. This project caters to the needs of cellular phone holders particularly students, faculty and staff and walk-in alumni and friends of the university. An initial capital of P6,045 has been provided for the project under the association's special project fund.

Marzan assumes VP post for Business Affairs

Dr. Eduardo G. Marzan, Jr. was designated as Vice President for Business Affairs of CLSUAAI effective June 1, 2007. He replaced Dr. Miguel R. Aragon who is on sick leave. Dr. Marzan is also the vice treasurer of the alumni association.

Alumni association donates mattresses to USF

The CLSUAAI donated seven bed mattresses to the University Security Forces. Dir. Emmanuel V. Sicat, head of the USF, formally received the mattresses from the CLSUAAI officials last July 21, 2007 at the Alumni Center.
