Postharvest Week Highlights Food Safety

Food safety is the main focus on May 22 to 27 as the country celebrates the 6th postharvest loss prevention week.

This highlight sends a wave of messages to the farmers, extension agents, researchers, processors, manufacturers, traders, policy makers, consumers and other stakeholders. It means producing and keeping better quality harvests up to the point of consumption so that these can surpass trade standards, command better prices and most of all, provide safe feed and food for animals and humans.
