Fifty four graduates of the CLSU College of Agriculture passed the Agriculture Licensure Examination (ALE) given by the Professional Regulation Commission last July 7-9.

Leading this year's successful CLSU examinees is Hernaiz G. Malanon who landed No. 4 among the top 10 examinees nationwide. He finished BSA (Ag Economics) in 2002. Malanon works with the Bureau of Postharvest Research and Extension.

On the other hand, a CAg faculty and MS in Crop Science alumna of CLSU, Mrs. Rosalie Laguitan-Galang, landed No. 1.

CLSU passing rate is 52% (54 out of 103) which is way above the national passing rate of 30.725%. This feat placed CLSU as No. 2 top performing school in LEA this year among 168 schools nationwide. According to Dr. Federico O. Perez, Cag dean, the newly licensed agriculturists will take their oath of office on September 1 at the Manila Hotel.

During the ceremony, CLSU will also be awarded a plaque of recognition as Top 2 performing school.

Dr. Perez, together with the department chairs of the CA, will attend the oathtaking and warding ceremony.
