Let us support each other.
(by Teotimo M. Aganon  9/28/2005)

CLSUAA,Inc. President Teotimo M. Aganon saw it fit to bare the accomplishments of the association this Alumni Year 2004-2005. It is hoped that this will further inspire all alumni and friends to join hands as we venture for the good of our Alma Mater.

The Board of Directors and Officers of the Central Luzon State University Alumni Association, Inc. (CLSUAA) Inc. adopted a three point agenda in implementing its various programs. It is anchored on GO Global (G), Motivation and Strengthening of Members (M), and Aggressive Resource Generation and Policy Advocacy (A).

From February 2004 until the present, our effort focused on GMA agenda.

Highlights of Accomplishments

  • Enhancement of the Alumni Website
The creation of the Alumni Website, Maintenance and Publication Committee ushered in renewed vigor for the association. It laid down the foundation for improving access of members to the association's activities. The alumni at large could now access updated information. They can also request for copies of their transcript of records or diploma through the internet for a fee. Online application form was already developed for this purpose.
  • Guest Inn cum Cafeteria
The completion of the Guest Inn cum Cafeteria is another significant accomplishment of the association. Through aggressive resource generation, we were able to establish this structure to accommodate transient alumni who want to stay longer in the campus. It is a three-room building plus cafeteria. The cafeteria is now being leased by a private caterer.
  • Service, Achievement, Special Recognition and Gintong Butil Awards
One of the innovations in this year's activities to commemorate the Annual Alumni Homecoming and Recognition Program is the categorization of the award into Service, Achievement, Special Recognition, and Gintong Butil.
  • Faculty Assistance Program
Consistent with its agenda to promote programs to enhance capabilities of members towards academic and R & D excellence, the Board approved financial assistance to four alumni who are faculty members of CLSU for presenting their respective papers in international fora.
  • Support to the Government Food Production Program
Consistent with the association's vision of being a dynamic partner of CLSU in effecting countryside development and a call for more active participation in national development programs, we made use of the six-hectare rice production farm into a hybrid rice seed production to contribute to the government's effort towards rice sufficiency in the coming years. This also enabled the association to earn more income to fund its various activities. Our contribution may not be significant, but in our own little, way at least we manifested our sincere concern to the clarion call of our government.
  • Support to Typhoon Victims
Typhoons Winnie, Yoyong and Violeta devastated Aurora Province. The association sympathized with the national call to help the typhoon victims. We provided support in terms of goodies and used clothings.
  • Preparation for the Centennial Year
The Board of Directors adopted a three-year theme for the association ''Central Luzon State University Alumni Association, Inc.: Moving Towards CLSU Centenary'' I invite you all to reflect on this theme and contribute your share towards its fulfillment. This only happen once in our lifetime and what can be a better cause than to start now. At a significant point in the history of the United States then President John F. Kennedy rallied the American people thus:
